Golf tournament for Mercedes Benz owners will be held again on May 2, 2018. The Mercedes Trophy 2018 held by Mercedes-Benz Indonesia is targeted to be followed by 144 amateur golfers from all over Indonesia. Pondok Indah Golf Course, South Jakarta will be used as a place for this prestigious event that held since 1992. As Deputy Director of Marketing Communication PT. Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia, Afianto Hari revealed that this prestigious tournament managed to gather the best amateur golfer who owns Mercedes-Benz from all over Indonesia.
Fought Over 7 Tickets to The Final Round in Australia
The amateur golf tournament Mercedes Trophy 2018 is held as an appreciation for all Mercedes-Benz users also as a place for amateur golfers to participate in national, regional and international golf competition.
Seven winners will be selected from all categories that offered to compete in the final round of the Mercedez Trophy Asian Final held at Sanctuary Cove Resort, Australia on 5 – 8 August 2018.
Those who won the best position in the Asian Final, will had the opportunity to join the Mercedes Trophy World Final on 2 – 7 October 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany.
Mercedes Trophy 2018 Divided into 4 Categories
The participants of Mercedes Trophy Indonesia 2018 golf tournament will compete in four categories, there are Flight A, Flight B, Flight C and Ladies Category. Two winners from each Flight A, Flight B and Flight C category will join with one winner from the Ladies Category to proceed to the finals in Australia.
The seven winners will become Indonesian representatives to compete against other Asian countries representatives in the Mercedes Trophy 2018 Asian Final. One of the best golfers represent each country will be selected to compete in the World Final Mercedes Trophy in Germany.
Beside an opportunity to compete in Australia, those who can get a hole in one also have the opportunity to get some prizes such as 1 unit C 200 AMG Line and 1 unit E 250 Avantgarde. Okto Hidayat Syahputra The Winner of Mercedes Trophy 2017
This amateur golf tournament Mercedes Trophy is held every year. For last year, Indonesian amateur golfer Okto Hidayat Syahputra won the world championship. Okto perform brilliantly in the final round of the 2017 Mercedea Benz World Finals in Stuttgart, Germany.
Okto said that his victory at last year’s tournament due to luck in his favor. He managed to play well throughout the game and beat other golfers who had less luck.
The Medan’s amateur golfer is admitted play golf every week regularly. He practiced in the driving range to keep his shoting consistency and preparing physically for the next tournament. Since the last 22 years, Okto is the third Indonesian amateur golfer who managed to win a world-class tournament Mercedes Trophy World Final.

Okto is also the lucky one to gain an invitation to compete with other international golfers at the prestigious PGA Tour and European Tour in The Open Championship 2018.
