There are Two Different Golf Courses Layout
SGCC course is an international standard course located in Johor Bahru that provides many recreational facilities. The best services provided to ensure each golfer gets its highest standard hospitality. Although located in Malaysia, this golf course more popular among Japanese golfers. Especially the golfer who is looking for an ideal home away from home other than Singapore. Starhil golf course consists of two different golf course layout, the Bukit Course and the Bintang Course.
The Bukit Course allow you to use the buggy. Whereas the Bintang Course preferred by golfer who loved wide fairways and large greens. Mostly, golfers prefer the Bintang Course especially for golf competitions.
The Bukit Course
Bukit means “hill” in Malay, and it refers to undulating hills as the main feature of this course. The 6524-meters course also considered much more easier than the Bintang Course with wide fairways, large greens, ponds and trees. Zoysia Matrella planted in the fairways, while Tifdwarf grass carpetted the greens.
The real challenges of the Bukit Course come in the shape of blue tees in formidable distance. Par 3 15th could be one of the hardest holes with big ponds that dominate the area. The Bukit Course built in the former natural forests. Now, mostly it has been replaced with a housing complex.
The Bintang Course
The Bintang Course Starhill Golf and Country Club is a 18-hole parkland course that has a range of difficulties for the golfer. At length of 6,834 meters, the par-72 layout built largely over swamp areas. Once you are here, you will find water serves as the primary obstacle for this course. At par 3 16th, you can see a unique star-shaped island green as a signature for this course.
The Bintang Course also uses Tifdwarf grass in the green and Zoysia Matrella in the fairway. Each hole on this course serves exciting challenges to the golfer. But, the 17th hole will blown you away. This hole is dog-legged almost 90 degrees with 25 meters trees covering as the buffer at turning point of the fairway.
The Starhill Golf facilities
One of the most impressive facilities of the Starhill Golf course is the clubhouse which located on a hill top. From the clubhouse you can see the beautiful golf course and try various international standard recreational facilities. Some of them are a pro shop, Hilltop restaurant, bar lounge, lobby lounge, VIP room, dressing room, jacuzzi, driving range and Banquet Hall.
The Starhill Golf course is also the right place for family recreation thanks to the Starhill Golf & Country Club Water Theme Park. It provides various sizes of swimming pools such as the main swimming pool, kid’s play swimming pool, Giant Water Slider, Kid’s Water Slider gathering areas. Overlooking the greenery of the SGCC, you can also relax on the golfer’s terrace which serves snacks as well as Asian, Japanese and Western dishes.
