Designed by Peter Thomson, Michael Wolveridge and Ross Perrett in 1996, this golf course has an area of 64 hectares. This wide landscape consists of 23.5 hectares of managerial building, 34 hectares of Bermuda and Ever Green grass and 2.5 hectares of plant maintenance. Beside its beautiful scenery and clean air, Merapi Golf Cangkringan offers 18 holes 72 par golf course with complicated placement of bunkers and holes. Even it’s quite difficult for professional golfers and beginner to clubbing. The front nine plays from the east to the west or vice versa. While the back nine are played from north to south.
Merapi Golf Yogyakarta Facilities and Green Fee Rates
Merapi Golf & Mountain Resort provides several facilities for both golfers and guests such as locker rooms, golf cart, lobby, meeting room, VIP room, toilets and online reservation service. There is also a free pick-up service for the guests and a large parking area. If you don’t bring your golf equipment, you can hire them in golf equipment rental or buy them at the pro shop. Golfers also can relax while enjoying delicious traditional and international dishes at Merapi Golf Resto. This restaurant also serves special events such as wedding ceremony, birthday parties, dinners and many more. If you want to play golf at Merapi Golf & Mountain Resort with low rates, you got to be smart enough to pick the right time to play. This is because Merapi Golf sets different rates on weekdays and weekends. On Monday till Thursday, golfers will be charged for IDR 687.500/pax.
While on Friday, golfers will be charged for IDR 1.017.500/pax, IDR 1.347.500/pax on Saturday and IDR 1.237.500/pax on Sunday. All this rates include green fee, caddy fee and golf cart.There is also a cheaper golf package named Joglosemar Package for golfers who lived in Yogyakarta, Solo and Semarang. This package costs IDR 450.000 and valid only on Monday and Tuesday. While VIP room facility is set for IDR 2.750.000 and meeting room facility is set for IDR 1.100.000. Golfers also can hire golf shoes by paying IDR 55.000 and rent a car for IDR 100.000 to IDR 150.000. All these rates are inclusive of 10% tax. As for golf club membership, only can be obtained by rent share or buying shares from Merapi Golf & Mountain Resort shareholder.
