Lombok Kosaido golf course located on the Tanjung Sire Street, in the west side of Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara. Its can be reached within 40 minutes drive from Senggigi, 45 minutes away from Selaparang Airport and 120 minutes away from the Lombok Praya Airport. while playing golf here, you can see Gili Island on the west side and Mount Rinjani in the northwest. The golf course is designed along with its natural layout, green undulating Bermuda grass and varied size of bunkers make it as an unforgettable experience for golfers. Lombok Kosaido golf course designed by Peter Thompson, Michael Wolveridge and Ross Perret and has a length of 6,295 meters from the Champion tee. Hole 1-9 are facing the sea side and golfers can play golf in white sandy beaches when facing the hole number 4. Hole 10-18 are facing the mountains, include the no. 12 as the largest hole. It’s quite difficult and challenging when playing hole no. 10-18 due to narrow fairways, undulating grass and there are animals like hens, cows and horses that often roam freely in and out of the golf course.
Facilities and Green Fee Rates at Lombok Golf Kosaido
The Kosaido golf course offers shoes rental, buggy carts and club for hire facilities. Golfers can also use the shower facility or enjoy food and drinks at a restaurant in the clubhouse. There is also a shuttle pick up facility from the golf course to the airport. unfortunately, this golf course does not have any lodging facilities, but you can stay at nearby hotels like The Oberoi, Sheraton Hotel, Lombok Garden Hotel, Lombok Raya Hotel and Tugu Lombok Hotel.
Lombok Golf Kosaido charged its visitors over IDR 1.485.000 both on weekdays and weekends. This rate includes the caddie fee, green fee, government tax and transfer rates from the hotel to the golf course. You can also rent golf shoes by paying IDR 165.000 and the club house by paying IDR 275.000.
Besides playing golf in lombok, you can also enjoy the beauty of the Sire Medana beach that located nearby the Lombok Golf Kosaido golf course. The scenic view and challenging layout makes the golf course that once hosted ASEAN PGA Tour 2011 tournament considered as an alternative sport tourism beside surfing and diving. Due to the limited availability of public transportation, it would be a good decision if the visitors rent a car or take a tour package if they want to visit this place independently.
