Tropicana Golf Offers Luxurious Golf Complex
The Tropicana Golf and Country Resort offers a luxurious golf course in a quiet living environment downtown Petaling Jaya. This golf course developed by Tropicana Corp Bhd and lies strategically on 625 acres land comprising a commercial development and residential area.
The Tropicana golf course was built on the former rubber plantation in 1993. It lies 6.5 km from 1Utama shopping center, 4.5 km from Surian MRT station and 7 km from Subang Airport. There are two challenging courses complete with sweeping valleys and rolling slopes namely East Course and West Course. Both are perfect golf courses with non-glare floodlights so you can play golf during the day or night.
Each course designed to USGA (United States Golfers Association) specifications and features sand and waer hazards amidst beautiful view of rolling green. Tropicana Golf and Country Resort designed by Graham Marsh of Marsh-Watson Pty Ltd with an excellent drainage system.
The drainage system avoids long delays due to the high frequency of rain in Malaysia. Generally, the game can be resumed after 10-15 minutes after the rain stopped. The floodlights system which adopted the Barcelona Olympic lighting system allows play continues as the night falls.
Tropicana Golf East Course
When people talk about the Tropicana golf course in Malaysia, it is meant the East Course. The East Course offers beautiful landscape views with exotic trees and various plants. You should be aware of bunkers that come in various sizes and plenty of elevation changes.
The Eas Course fairways are narrow where the trees that border them are become ever-present obstacles in the game. The front nine of the East Course opens with a beautiful and challenging view of a series of waterfalls that surround par-4. The view of two large bunkers in front and on the left side of the green also water running down on the left side will welcome you in par-3.
The back nine are less water hazards. It’s just bunkers with varying sizes around the green area. The 15th looks can be deceptive, but you have to be careful because there are heavy bunkers around the green making it the most difficult on the East Course.
Tropicana Golf West Course
If you want an easier game, Tropicana Golf and Country Resort West Course will offers you that. This west course is famous on the 13th and 14th. The view from the 14th is quite beautiful where a lake is on the left side across the fairway. If you play up short, the bunker on the other side is waiting for you to get off line. Meanwhile, another pond surrounds the green area on the right side.
