The Callaway MD4 Wedges Review, The New Standard Wedges Performance On The Market

Not long ago Callaway made a surprise with the release of Mack Daddy 3, then Callaway made a breakthrough again with the release of their new wedges, Callaway Mack Daddy 4. If MD 3 had become one of the best wedges in 2017, will MD4 won the same title this year? Check out the following Callaway MD4 wedges review.

Callaway MD4 Bring the Newest Technology

Callaway MD 4 Black Matte Wedges

Callaway MD4, is expected to be the new standard for wedges performance on the market. This is not separated from its design and advanced features that allows the golfer to achieve a performance level that has never achieved before.

The fourth generation of Mack Daddy wedges is the result of a collaboration between Roger Cleveland and Callaway’s R & D team. This brilliant collaboration can be seen from the combination of the latest Groove-in-Groove Technology along with other advanced features that allow the golfer to control the results of the shot in green area.

As the head of the designer team, Roger Cleveland made some significant changes to the new series wedges. Starting from the sole design, the grooves up to the edges of the wedges all get a new touch in order to optimize the distance of the shot and look attractive aesthetically.

The main horizontal grooves are also milled but then it was saw-cut so it looks shorter than the other grooves (which is the first for Callaway). While the sole still has 20V grooves while the top only uses 5V grooves.

The Callaway MD 4 wedges review shows that this wedge is one of the tested model. This wedge does not seem much different from the 3rd series of MD. This is very reasonable considering the MD3 design is a successful design that does not require a meaningful update.

Callaway MD 4 Has 4 Additional Weights

Callaway MD4 wedge comes with 4 additional weights on the left side. These additional weights expected to be help the golfer create a consistent shot and more easily control the ball’s trajectory.

Callaway MD4 is built with consideration of all aspects from golfer’s comfort to the effects of friction with the green. So, it is not surprising that the feel and interaction resulting from these wedges differ from the previous version.

The MD 4 body feels solid thanks to its 8620 carbon steel materials and an additional four extra aluminium weight resulting in a rise in the center of gravity when wedges begin to swing.

Mack Daddy 4 provides four grind options MD4 C Grind, S Grind, W Grind and New X Grind. The several grinds option allows the golfer to choose the right type of grind in accordance with the style of their game or the type of golf course they encountered.

The Callaway MD4 wedges review concludes that Mack Daddy 4 is the right wedge for the short game golfer. It released in Black Matte and Platinum Chrome color and sold at the range $149.99.
