The Host of Many Prestigious Golf Championships
Located in Kota Kemuning, Selangor, Malaysia, Kota Permai golf course is praised by its quality of the playing experience. This 18 holes golf course is one of the best courses in Asia and designed by top international architect Ross Watson.
Since 1998, Kota Permai golf course has had an impressive portfolio of professional golf championships in Malaysia. From 1998 to 2002 and in 2004, Kota Permai Golf and Country Club hosted the Asian Tour Volvo Masters. In 2007, this Malaysian golf course hosted the World Cup of Golf. Then it hosted the European Tour Malaysian Open the following year.
Kota Permai golf course has also won many awards. Kota Permai Golf Course Layout
As one of the best golf courses in Malaysia, Kota Permai Golf and Country Club offers a challenging course layout for both amateur and professional golfers. The 6,396 meters long course is designed in harmony with nature. You can see a variety of mature trees and wildlife throughout the golf course.
Although many palm trees planted all over the golf course to create a tropical climate atmosphere, this golf course also has refined and modern layout. There are at least 77 bunkers and scenic water hazards that will challenge you on this course. The Japanese Zoysia fairways and undulating Bermuda grass green are well maintained so it’s always in its best condition.
The best view you can find on the par-4 second hole. With a water hazard stretching along the left side of the fairway and snaking to the front of the green, you need two solid shots to get to the green. Strategic fairway bunkers make the landing area on the fairway is blind from the tee box.
In 2004, Kota Permai Golf and Country Club was renovated to meet USGA standards. The renovations include expanding the clubhouse area, upgrading tee boxes and adding vertical train lines in the bunker.
